Liebe Forenmitglieder,

habe dieses Gerät ohne Netzteil und im Internet nicht viel darüber finden können.

Auf der Rückseite des Gerätes steht:

9V DC / 6x1.5V
100mA Max.

Es gibt keinen Hinweis über die Polung.

Weiß jemand etwas über das Gerät (Jahr, Spielstärke, Bibliothek)?

Auf der Seite habe ich etwas gefunden: 1300 ELO. Seltenes Gerät, aber dafür schwach?

Ist es eine Besonderheit von Novag, dass die mA-Angabe nicht überschritten werden soll (im Netz las ich uniso, die Voltzahl müsse stimmen, die Amperezahl sei eine Mindestangabe und könne drüber liegen.)?

Dear chess computer collector friend!

There is not much more information about the computer that you mention, I attached a link to the Spanish Website Chess Computer Coleccionistas with the file/information of the Novag Aquamarine Stile.
Many Novag Aquamarine computers were sold in Spain, and this specific model is still being sold today, I had this computer in my collection, although I already sold it and I don't have the instruction manual, although I remember that in the Manual they didn't give many technical details.
But I can assure you that this computer works with an original Novag adapter n°8210 or with any other stabilized universal power adapter sold in electronic stores with the following characteristics:
Output DC 9V, 300mA or 0.3A, center or negative inside -.
It is recommended that the voltage is about 9V, and that the amperage offers at least 300mA, although the computer will need about 200mA at most, of course the amperage of the power adapter can be more than 300mA, for example 500mA or 1A.
As a general rule all Novag chess computers require a center or inside negative power adapter -.
I hope I have clarified your doubts with my answer.

Apparently the previous link that I sent you with the information about the Novag Aquamarine Stile does not work if you are not online, although as I told you there is not much information in the data sheet of that model. Hallo,
"100mA max" bedeutet hier, dass die Stromaufnahme des Gerätes max. 100mA beträgt und nicht, dass man diese auf 100mA begrenzen muss. Ein Schachcomputer ist ja schließlich kein Akku (haha). Und wie Francesco schon sagte, der Innenleiter des Hohlsteckers liegt (unüblicherweise) auf Minus. Obwohl das m.E. nicht bei allen Novag's so ist.

Maybe there is some Novag computer whose center is not negative, maybe some very old device?, but all the Novag devices that I know of have a negative center or inside, if not check the list of Novag device on Schachcomputer.info and check it out.

Hello Francesco,
you are right, nearly all Novag's have a negative inner plug leader. However, if I remember right, one of my about 10 Novag chess computers have a positive one. May be a previous owner changed this by soldering. I will check this anytime.

Eure Antworten sind deckungsgleich, also ein 9-Volt-Netzteil mit Minus innen. (Your answers are identical: a 9 V device with a minus inside.)

I think I remeber this is not enabled by default. Check your user profile, control panel, board preferences, edit notifications options.

(I can’t register on chesscc.com. I get an error message.)

I had the very same issue for months. I even definitely gave up, until I got a VPN feature and retried (I think I remember using Spain as a proxy location, but maybe just a coincidence); then the registration went fine. Don't ask me why
