Chess Computer Corner

The 30th Tepe Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament took place in Malmo, Sweden, Tue 20th to Mon 26th May 2025. Players: Richard Rapport, Javokhir Sindarov, Ray Robson, Nils Grandelius, Vasyl Ivanchuk, Erwin L'Ami (a last minute replacement for Vidit Gujrathi), Tan Zhongyi and Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus. Javokhir Sindarov won the event with an undefeated 4.5/7 - he defeated Erwin L'Ami and Tan Zhongyi. Half a point behind was Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus who just lost the one game, to Vasyl Ivanchuk, Nils Grandelius beat Tan Zhongyi in the final round to catch him. Vasyl Ivanchuk's good recent run was undone by two losses on time. The organisers must be very pleased as they got a tournament with something interesting happening every day.
