The European Rapid and Blitz Chess took place Thu 15th Dec to Sun 18th Dec 2022 in Katowice, Poland. David Navara won the blitz on tie-break from Maciej Klekowski and Shant Sargsyan after all scored 17.5/22, five players were just half a point further behind. In the Rapid Jaime Santos Latasa took clear first place with 9.5/11 half a point clear of David Navara, Daniel Fridman, there were 11 players tied on 9 points altogether.
