The Chess.com Classic which is part of the Champions Chess Tour took place Fri 10th to Wed 15th May 2024 on Chess.com. The format is Double Elimination Knockout. Carlsen, Ivic, Lazavik, Nepomniachtchi, Firouzja, Duda, Keymer and Sarana play for the title in Division 1. There were two further divisions which had qualification places for the division above. Alireza Firouzja overcame a loss to Jan-Krzysztof Duda in the first round to progress through the losers half and then beat Magnus Carlsen twice in a row in the Grand Final and its reset to take the title.
