Abdusattorov continues to lead the Tata Steel Masters after surviving lost position against Keymer in Round 9 - 9

Nodirbek Abdusattorov managed to save an extremely bad position against Vincent Keymer in Round 9 of the Tata Steel Masters, this allowed him to keep his lead. Anish Giri moved within half a point after beating Ding Liren with the black pieces. Richard Rapport was the other winner beating Arjun Erigaisi. Wesley So had to settle for a draw against Parham Maghsoodloo and he plays Giri tomorrow. Full report by FM Michiel Abeln below. Masters Round 9 Standings: 1st Abdusattorov 6.5pts/9, 2nd Giri 6pts, 3rd So 5.5pts, 4th= Caruana, Aronian, Praggnanandhaa, Carlsen 5 pts, 8th Rapport 4.5pts, 9th= Maghsoodloo, Ding Liren 4pts. 11th Van Foreest 3.5pts, 12th= Erigaisi, Keymer, Gukesh 3pts.
