The Aimchess Rapid took place 10th to 14th July 2023. Part of the Champions Chess Tour it was hosted by Chess.com. Having missed the last tour event Carlsen had to qualify in June which he did comfortably enough. Division 1 players: Carlsen, So, Fedoseev, Caruana, Aronian, Abdusattorov, Jorden Van Foreest and Iturrizaga. Carlsen beat Wesley So in the final. Denis Lazavik just got past Sam Sevian to reach the next final, remarkably they drew all the games from all 3 of their matches with having black in the Armageddon being decisive each time.
